In May 2020 we received a request for support from our contactperson in Nyumba ya Mungu, Mrs. Frida Tarimo. Healthworkers in the area worried about the spreading of the Corona virus in the local community due to lack of knowledge about the virus.
Therefore they took the initiative to write a proposal for an awareness campaign to educate the public about ways to prevent spreading of the virus. A budget was drawn up containing costs for soap, buckets, irons stands. It included also a fee for hiring loudspeakers and for printing flyers
In cooperation with “Wilde Ganzen”, SINTAN IP, and a local NGO called UWALE, Mrs Tarimo together with the Ward healthworker managed to organise the campaign within three weeks.
