For the academic year 2020/2021, SINTAN IP supports Mr. Ekia Shuma from Dodoma with a first contribution to finance a two-year Master’s degree in Health Policy and management at Muhimbili University in Dar es Salaam.
34 year old Shuma, father of two children, works as a health secretary for the Bahia District Council in Dodoma Region and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Systems and Management.
We have known Ekia Shuma since 2012, when he was Hospital Administrator of the Mvumi Hospital near Dodoma. In the past he mediated in the placement of student doctors in the hospital. In 2016 and 2018 he prepared and supervised the visit of the NLS training missions.
