Paediatricians Jelmer Reininga (Ommelander Ziekenhuis Groep), Suzanne Broekhuizen (Wilhelmina Ziekenhuis Assen) and neonatologist Ronald Boontje (Medisch centrum Leeuwarden) departed to Tanzania on November 4th.
They are going to Mvumi Hospital, located in Central Tanzania, around 40 km from Dodoma. During a period of one week.they will train hospital personnel and staff of Mvumi Hospital in Newborn Life Support (NLS).
NLS training is a practical instruction in airway support and gives the theoretical background about resuscitation of newborns during the first ten to twenty minutes after birth.
